Surah Al Baqrah ( Qur'an)

      بِسۡم ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Verse no 166 

Iz tabarra al lazeenat tubi’oo minal lazeenattaba’oo wa ra awul ‘azaaba wa taqatta’at bihimul asbaab

(At that time) when those who were followed (- the leaders) shall disown and sever themselves from their followers and they shall see the punishment (with their own eyes) and all their ties and means shall be cut asunder.

Wa qaalal lazeenat taba’oo law anna lanaa karratan fanatabarra a minhum kamaa tabarra’oo minnaa; kazaalika yureehimullaahu a’maalahum hasaraatin ‘alaihim wa maa hum bikhaarijeena minan Naar (section 20)

 And (at that time) the followers shall say, 'If we could only return (to the life of the world) we would disown them and sever ourselves from them as they disowned and severed themselves from us.' Thus Allâh will make them regret their deeds and they shall never (of themselves) get out of the Fire.

 O people! Eat what is lawful and pure (of the produces) of the earth and follow not the footsteps of satan for he is your enemy severing you (from Allah).

Innamaa yaamurukum bissooo’i walfahshaaa’i wa an taqooloo alal laahi maa laa ta’lamoon

 He (-satan) only bids you to indulge in evil and to (do) things foul and obscene and that you say against Allâh things you do not know.

Wa izaa qeela lahumuttabi’oo maaa anzalal laahu qaaloo bal nattabi’u maaa alfainaa ‘alaihi aabaaa’anaaa; awalaw kaana aabaaa’uhum laa ya’qiloona shai’anw wa laa yahtadoon

 And when it is said to them (- the disbelievers), 'Follow what Allah has revealed.' They say, 'We would rather follow such things as we found our forefathers (doing and believing). (Would they do so) even though their forefathers could not refrain (from evil), nor they could achieve their goal.
